Experience with safety analysis codes, (e.g. RETRAN, VIPRE, RELAP, and GOTHIC, and/or equivalents)

Experience with Radiological Engineering analysis codes, (e.g. RADTRAD, SCALE, MCNP, and LOCADOSE)

Experience with nuclear fuel and PWR safety analyses design analyses

Understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of ionization effects

Understanding of Single-event effects (SEE) and Single-event upsets (SEU)

Prior experience working for the DOE Packaging Certification program.

Experience in teaching DOE Packaging Certification courses.

Strong technical skills of mechanical, structural analysis, and/or Monte Carlo radiation transport code experience.

Improve existing course material, and train new employees on how to teach DOE Packaging Certification courses

Perform analysis of components utilized in nuclear applications and nuclear non-proliferation such as reactor fuel, reactor cores, radiation shielding, and instrumentation.

You will be responsible for presenting PRA project results to client management or integrated decision-making panels.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

Minimum of 20 years of experience developing nuclear power industry PRA analyses

Assignments require the preparation of calculations and reports, and excellent technical report writing skills are essential

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in performing PRA analyses in support of surveillance frequency control programs (SFCP)

Plant systems integration such as System, Program or Design Engineering, or other station functional experience

Experience in projects, investigations, or cross-functional teams/vendors

Provides support to the site on complex and strategic Program and process issues.

Provides strategy and support for special Programmatic inspections by regulators and industry.

Attends and represent PSEG Nuclear at industry conferences, training and meetings.

Leads diverse teams in resolving station issues.

Support NorthStar's program to develop and deploy accelerators for the production of radioisotopes.

Develop techniques for the production of novel radioisotopes using either accelerators or nuclear reactors.

Work with supporting scientists and engineers from National Laboratories.

Design and improve accelerator radiological measurement and protection systems.

Assist with the development of processes and associated documentation related to system calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of production systems.

Review of Sales orders/ Work Orders / Purchase order before start of execution for compliance to requirements.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science or demonstrated equivalent experience is mandatory

Experience with ASME Codes – Sec II, III, V, VIII, IX, XI (Design, Welding, NDE, Inspection & Materials).

Experience in interfacing with supplier quality personnel in the conduct of audits is preferred

Experience in manufacturing of Valves/ Pumps/ Pressure vessels
