Mep Technician I Jobs

Associate degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Engineering / Mechanical Technology, Construction Management, a related field or equivalent experience.

Coordinates all permitting, and inspections required by local authorities in the absence of Management.

Ensure all Preventive Maintenance procedures are documented, scheduled and performed according to OEM or AEM recommendations and meet local code requirements.

3 to 5 years of experience as a journeyman level MEP Technician preferably in an industrial or complex central plant environment.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify issues and help develop strategy and tactical plans for various department initiatives

Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills

Work well with others to manage the production process

Strong CAD/Revit skills a must

Follow company’s AutoCAD/Revit design standards

Set up background drawings/files based on files provided by architect

Complete Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing markups

Translate less specific design direction into functional documents

Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform job responsibilities

In emergency situations, dispatch technicians and or vendors, as needed, in the absence of Management.

Monitors ticket flows and receives escalations when Management is not available.

Coordinates all permitting, and inspections required by local authorities in the absence of Management.

Basic experience with detailed record keeping and data entry accuracy
