Media Relations Jobs in Georgia

1-3 years of experience in the energy industry, media, or public relations field.

Knowledge of energy and environmental policy. Knowledge of the electric power industry is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong interpersonal and communication (oral, written) skills

Higher education sector experience preferred

Effective communication, writing and editing skills and knowledge of AP Style

Leadership skills with managing teams and clients via influence

Experience with effectively managing a wide variety of crises

Experience with and understanding of PR and marketing concepts and practices

Manage and respond to incoming media inquiries in a timely manner.

Minimum of 5 years communication experience in a corporate, political, or agency setting.

On-the-record experience as a media spokesperson.

Assist in anticipating and developing communication strategies.

In partnership with the senior director of strategic communications and peers, help to develop, drill, and execute communication plans.

Partner with peers on the strategic communications team to assist in development of earned media strategies and pitching of media.
