This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $25.96 - $28.84 per hour

10+ years of professional PR and media relations experience

Knowledge of ML and AI technology and industry

We’re Looking For a Blend Of Qualifications, Including

Develop and execute strategic communication plans surrounding use cases being built on top of our API

Partner closely with our API customers in an effort to tell their stories

Excellent interpersonal skills with a “can-do” attitude, diplomatic approach, confidence, and comfort around coworkers and executive management is a must.

Excellent customer service skills with experience in monitoring and resolving customer inquiries needs within a social environment.

Consolidate findings into monthly reports for knowledge share

Manage/ be the day-to-day contact with the social media agency (when applicable) including tracking to budget, briefing priorities, and managing activities.

Minimum of 4 years related experience in public relations and/or social media. Experiencing working within social media channels a must.

Knowledge in budget development and management.

Excellent managerial skills: both people management and project management.

Collaborate in the development and management of the College’s NewsCenter and contribute material.

Higher education communications and media relations experience required.

Manage media relations tools/systems (e.g. Cision) and MarCom’s administered web sites including SMC’s Faculty Experts Directory.

Build and manage relationships with news organizations.

Superior writing and editing skills, requiring little line editing

4+ years of experience in media relations, journalism, or related communication roles

Agency experience desirable, particularly in dealing with media strategy

Financial communications experience helpful, though not required
