Mechanical Assembler Tech Jobs

2+ years experience in mechanical assembly (mechanical tools, drills, and impact tools, professional or personal)

Ability to follow instructions and read fabrication drawings

Ability to work with Bills of Material, Engineering Change Orders Ability to use Oracle

Ability to install bearings, gears, and motors.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outside at heights up to 100 feet

High School Diploma or GED US government position. US

8 + years of experience (Shipboard experience highly preferred).

An OSHA 10 certification or able to obtain a certification.

Experience in the fabrication and precision assembly of various mechanical assemblies.

Possibly supervise a small team.

Follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to fabricate and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies.

Be attentive to safety (which is critical).

Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator.

Must have computer skills, minimum Microsoft office.

Demonstrated ability to use small hand and power tools, previous experience with p.c. based testing equipment is preferred.

High School graduate or GED equivalent, demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Good Attendance, Initiative, responsible follow through and a willingness to help.

Assemble components such as bearings and install couplings on shafts

Use basic hand tools to fabricate, assemble and install components

Able to read shop drawings

Show up to work on time every day

Able to work safely in a Heavy Industrial environment

Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Fill out all forms to finalize work order requirements as required

Military, trade school or equivalent experience is preferred

3 years manufacturing experience, preferably in the assembly and/or service of automated equipment or machinery.

Post Offer Background check and drug screening required

Work Authorizations / Security Clearance / Additional Eligibility Requirements

Build assemblies in work packages using hand or power tools and the correct drawings and documents required for the assembly

14. May perform other related responsibilities. Qualifications Qualifications

May require specialized certification specific to division requirements (i.e. certified operator, FAA repair license, soldering certification).

Possess extensive historical knowledge of product and process situations normally encountered.

5. Performs diagnostic teardown and rebuilding of product, including evaluation of suitability of components, according to customer specifications.

6. Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to product specifications. Assembles, tests, and/or solders to customer and/or industry standards.

7. Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications

Must have MIN 1 year experience working in shop/ manufacturing environment
