Position: Mechanical Assembler

Location/s: Ashland, VA

Duration: Contract to Hire (Possible to convert after 90 days depending on performance and needs)

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $18.00/hr. (Depending on experience)

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 AM, Mon-Fri), 10 hours/day and Saturdays as required

Perks:

Sign-on Bonus of $850 after 6 months of employment.

Assist Sub- Assembly and Assembly Departments in the assembly of Mechanical components.

Responsibilities:

• Use basic hand tools to fabricate, assemble and install components
• Assemble components such as bearings and install couplings on shafts

Requirements:

• Able to work safely in a Heavy Industrial environment
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic Mechanical knowledge
• Able to read shop drawings
• Show up to work on time every day

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Applicants for employment must be a U.S. Citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
• Must pass a criminal background check (7-year felony + sex offender)
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test (10 panels for recreational drugs and opiates)
