Reconcile forecast submissions and compile variances for management and Finance review

1-3 years’ experience in Finance or Marketing

Develop strong relationships across Marketing and Finance departments

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Maintain forecasts for assigned budget groups through Excel workbooks

Meet regularly with Marketing Operations and budget owners to review current and future month forecast variances

Prepare monthly metrics reports and internal management reports

Gather and analyze data to provide to the management team

3-5 years of Finance/Accounting experience

Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related.

Assist in the preparation of the company's monthly forecast and annual budget

Assist department heads in analyzing data and projecting costs

Partner with divisional management, Actuarial, and Financial Planning and Analysis to develop annual revenue, claims, and enrollment plans.

5+ years of business, finance or other relevant experience

Extensive analytical knowledge around budget drivers, while identifying opportunities for cost savings/efficiencies.

Finance, Accounting, Economics are preferred major fields

Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated experience with either budget formulation or budget execution activities

Demonstrated experience with budget analysis

Demonstrated experience with IPPBE processes

Experience with working in the Intelligence Community

In-depth knowledge related to one or more of the designated:

Conduct budget analysis of financial data calls and portfolio reviews.

Provide information and assistance to management, and others regarding models, forecasts, budgets, and financial plans.

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance required

Knowledge of accounting activities related to financial accounting, property accounting, account classification, or gas accounting.

Conducts budgetary analyses and projections. Prepares reports to assist management with planning and decision-making.

Assists administrative and academic departments with establishing and maintaining operating budgets. Responds to budget issues and coordinates resolutions.

Monitors and analyzes departmental operating accounts; reviews budget projections and compares to actual performance, making recommendations as necessary.

Coordinates with departments and provides advice and training on budgetary policy, best practices, and procedural issues.

Coordinates the gathering and analyzing of statistical information to project, evaluate and monitor the administrative functions of the university.

Assists with the preparation of the biennial Legislative Appropriations Request; prepares supporting schedules for use by various state agencies.

Budget Analyst experience and/or training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted for the degree.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of the basic principles of finance, budgeting and accounting.

Two years progressively responsible experience in budgeting, finance, accounting, or related work.

Compile operating budget and capital improvement program requests and prepare reports for reviews with departments and the City Manager.

An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance is required. Master’s degree in business, accounting, or finance field is a plus.

Three years of experience in budgeting, accounting, and financial analysis. Experience in government, especially transit, is preferred but not required.

Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.

Prepares budget amendments and provides supporting documentation as needed for approval.

Experience with budget management (e.g., developing, monitoring, and reviewing transactions to ensure compliance, preparing cost analysis and expenditure reports, etc.).

Developing, analyzing and making recommendations to management on complex division level budget and program issues.

Preparing and monitoring the federal grant(s) allocated to the state for survey and certification activities.

Experience analyzing data using software such as Microsoft Excel.

Experience interpreting and applying State or Federal rules or regulations.

Experience with governmental accounting and budgeting processes.

This position does not have an education qualification requirement.

Creates, runs, and interprets reports from the Financial Management Modernization Initiative (FMMI) to ensure all financial information is accurate for FTPP.

Prepares analytical reports addressing financial issues of interest to management and other interested parties.

Experience with the budget process, including budget formulation and the determination of funding distributions and/or allocations.

Utilizing accounting systems, preparing, entering, and revising accurate and complex transactions in accounting, finance, or budget information.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Two (2) years of experience in accounting and finance work preferred; or

Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

General knowledge of budgets, controls, and legal requirements and practices.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, business, or a closely related field; and

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board.

This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position. Incumbent must obtain and maintain this certification within 24 months of employment.

Assist in training Navy and TFSI personnel in Navy Environmental PPBE and its associated use of EPRWeb.

Maintain User Permissions within the EPRWeb Portal.
