Specific physical requirements of the position include the ability to:

Manage consumer NPI mechanical and thermal component qualification, manufacturing technology management and MP readiness.

Strong project management skills, familiar with NPI process, ability to drive multiple parts and aspect of products manufacturing process development simultaneously

Experience in functional tolerancing evaluation, GD&T, Creo, or similar CAD software to sophisticated assemblies, excellent interpersonal skills

Experience in diagnosing machine problems/ root cause analysis - electric & servo motors, mechanisms, sensors.

BS with 3 to 5 years experience.

Minimum of 10 years design experience with at least 5 specifically related to mill liners

Drive Quality Control plan development and implementation across all jobsites and contractors, as well as within the Tesla Self Perform team.

Perform construction completion inspection checks and document findings in a platform that is accessible to all participants in the project.

Manage projects through the entire life cycle from design inception to quoting and estimating through prototyping and into production

Communicate with internal fabrication production and external vendors to achieve production requirements and project schedules

Provide engineering design and design for manufacturing support to internal and external customers

Utilizing Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices

Millwright skills, welding and machining experience preferred

Minimum of five years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment

Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment

Possess superior analytical and troubleshooting skills

Project management including design, ordering of components, build oversight and installation.

Advanced CAD/3D modeling skills, especially knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor.

Required travel, upwards of 5% to remote Waupaca Foundry facilities.

Knowledge of mechanical components such as cylinders, motors bearings etc.

Design of foundry components/equipment and support systems utilizing standard engineering principles and practices.

Generate detailed mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings for systems and equipment.

Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
