Job Summary:
The Mechanical Manufacturing Planner, using customer contract requirements, manages the procurement of products and / or services to be used in the manufacturing process for our well-established, growing company. This person provides a detailed workflow routing plan, implemented for use in manufacturing a quality finished product. This person will be negotiating contract terms and conditions with suppliers, as well as reviewing and administering engineering change orders from multiple departments. This person will initially lead a team of three, with the potential to grow their department within a year. This person is highly involved in the daily operations of the company - reports directly to the Chief Operations Manager.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Implements supplier development initiatives and maintains supplier relationships
- Controls all outside processing including but not limited to heat treating, plating, weld inspection, or other special processes
- Develops and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Maintains a high level of efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Reviews and analyzes job routing requirements, delivery schedules, output accuracy, and material supply chains
- Analyzes production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Coordinates the compilation of data for preparing estimates and financial reports
- Manages the procurement of raw materials, products, or services for the company
- Coordinates planning requirements for hardware as required
- Coordinates with shipping and receiving to ensure the fulfillment of contracts as scheduled

Experience:
- 5+ years in procurement / supply chain management
- 5+ years in leadership position
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- JOBBOSS experience a plus
- 5+ years in planning / scheduling
- Experience in the aerospace / aviation industry a plus
- 10+ years in manufacturing environment
