Managing Funeral Director Jobs

Current license or certification if required by state regulations

2+ years of funeral industry experience

Contributes to the overall efficiency of the location by maintaining open and effective communication and maintaining accurate and timely client files

Performs on-call responsibilities including: taking first calls, talking with families, answering questions, providing initial details, and; conducting transfers

Typically requires a minimum of 6 months experience in a funeral home, crematory or cemetery

Must meet all licensing requirements in applicable state/province as required by law as prescribed by each state board

Basic knowledge of religious and fraternal organizations customs

Knowledge of computers and some software including MS Office Suite required

Arranges and conducts funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized and caring manner consistent with company policies and procedures

Proficient with computers and technology with the ability to learn new proprietary management systems.

Ability to manage a busy caseload and promote an exceptional customer care experience.

1 years minimum of experience with funeral home operations and with family arrangements.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with families and co-workers.

Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer license a plus

Valid state driver's license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
