Perform citywide position management including monitoring and oversight; review and recommend position related change requests

Minimum Education and Experience Required

AHIP is looking for a skillful Legislative and Regulatory Analyst to join their team!

1. Bachelor's Degree in health policy, public policy, or related field and/or equivalent experience.

2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in legislative or regulatory advocacy, policy development, or research.

• Knowledge of Westlaw or other legal research databases and understanding of membership associations preferred.

At least one (1) year experience with quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting, preferably related to campaign finance and elections.

Use analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets, then develop data-driven solutions.

Experience in data mining and analyzing and visualizing data.

Strong math skills (e.g., statistics, algebra).

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Experience using advanced statistical analysis software such as R, Python, SPSS, or equivalent.

Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of relevant work experience.

Experience working with Congress, including with key committees or policy and advocacy organizations.

Experience developing and cultivating relationships with federal officials, health care groups, and agencies.

Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with diverse audiences.

Experience working as a Legislative Assistant.

Experience working on federal public policy related to older adults’ health, economic security, and community service needs.

3+ years of experience in the legislative affairs, analysis field, department-level planning, or execution

Experience with preparing leadership for testifying to and meeting with government members and pertinent staff members

Experience with researching and writing background papers, talking points, and oral and written statements, including legislative briefings to leadership

Experience with DoD personnel policy organizations and offices

Experience with the Department of Defense and its senior leadership offices?

Experience with working on Capitol Hill as a congressional staffer, including in a communication or press role
