3+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience.

Setting listing, buyer and property management appointments from provided leads for the Brokerage and its agents.

Accurately enter, update, cultivate and follow up on all leads within the Brokerage client management software platform.

Strong phone & appointment setting skills

Excellent documentation and organizational skills

Manage transactions successfully from contract to close.

Experience using computer maintenance management systems.

Tree risk assessment qualification (TRAQ certification)

Inspect trees for disease, insect infestation, pruning or other requirements.

Excellent communication and writing skills.

Good organizational and documentation skills

Five years of experience or responsible arborist-related work involving tree planning, consultation, pruning, removals, and chemical application and,

At least three months experience operating equipment, such as a lift, loader, bucket truck, etc.

One year experience working as a grounds man for an arborist

Six months experience working as a tree climber

Six months experience working in a public garden

Six months experience working in landscaping or a related field

Demonstrated knowledge of climbing, knots, pruning practices, and basic horticulture practices are a plus

International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certification or an accredited tree expert license is desired.

Applies standard fertilizing practices and adjusts acid or alkaline conditions of the soil in line with plant requirements.

Knowledge of technical work practices specific to the arborist trade.

Working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of equipment, tools and materials used in the arborist trade.

Arborist Certification by the International Society of Arboricultural (ISA) within 12 months of hire.

Ability to obtain flagging certification within 6 months of hire.

Ability to obtain First Aid/ CPR certification within 6 months of hire.

Two years of paid work experience including tree maintenance, grounds keeping and/or maintenance.

Basic knowledge of proper methods, techniques, and practices used in grounds maintenance.

Qualifications, Special Certifications and Licenses

Five years of tree maintenance experience related to assignment

Supervises a crew assigned to tree trimming and maintenance, including conducting performance evaluations

Develops and implements tree maintenance and safety protocols; conducts training programs.

Coordinates special programs like "Adopt-a-Tree", storm preparedness, etc. Serves as liaison and consultant to other departments and agencies.

Investigates claims of damage related to trees on City property.

1-3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience

ISA Arborist Certification or ability to obtain – we will pay for the cost of the exam and help you prepare!

Ascends/descends trees using climbing gaffs (spikes) to perform arboricultural operations aloft, in trees that will be removed from the landscape.

Monitor Contractor’s adherence to technical requirements and overall responsiveness and effectiveness.

Practical experience in tree protection, pruning, installation, and establishment or related work

Maintain daily records and review the daily reports of other inspection personnel, providing feedback and advice for improvement.

Use the City’s ForMS program as required for the assignment

Act as an ambassador for the City’s urban forest resource during interaction with the City’s residents and landowners

Monitor construction daily for overall site safety, permit condition compliance and coordination with other City Agencies

$20-22 hourly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Five or more years of experience in the field.

Completion of the ninth grade and two years of relevant experience.

Exterior pressure washing: Completes assigned work orders and leads other employees pertaining to exterior pressure washing of all buildings and walkways.

Commercial Driver’s License Class A (CDL).

Manage all campus tree and shrub projects including design and budget; make cost estimates of time and material.

Ensure the condition of all campus trees meet prudent safety considerations for facilities, pedestrians and vehicles.

Identify and diagnose diseases and insect infestation and apply proper treatment.

General knowledge of federal statutes;

Extensive experience assisting in the development of civil and/or criminal cases for presentation to the appropriate prosecution authority;

Extensive experience performing the appropriate analytical techniques and methods during an investigation;

Demonstrated extensive experience supporting complex criminal and/or civil investigations;

Extensive experience supporting the preparation of a final work product.

Knowledgeable, encouraging and present leadership

General knowledge of federal statutes;

Extensive experience assisting in the development of civil and/or criminal cases for presentation to the appropriate prosecution authority;

Extensive experience performing the appropriate analytical techniques and methods during an investigation;

Demonstrated extensive experience supporting complex criminal and/or civil investigations;

Skilled in modern climbing techniques and pruning to ISA standards.

Experienced with large tree removals and advanced rigging.

ISA Certified Arborist or Certified Tree Worker

Possess a valid driver’s license (Class A or B CDL preferred).

Be self-motivated and lead by example as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
