Internal Medicine Resident (Transit Village Family Medicine)

Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.

No clinic or outpatient responsibilities

Provide inpatient GI consultation services, including endoscopy, admitted to QMC PB at the request of ER physicians and QMC Medical staff.

Provide GI on-call coverage for QMC PB

Provide teaching and supervision of advanced practice provider(s) who are responsible for assistance with coverage of inpatient GI services.

Flexible schedule with preference for 4-7 consecutive days, at least 16 days per month.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that encourage harmonious working relationships with individuals in the health and educational settings.

Knowledge and familiarity with managed care and referral authorization processes preferred.

Experience At least one year Ambulatory/Office experience.

Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.

Coordinate all managed care referral authorization requests and schedule appointments with referral physicians.

Assist in enhancing CMU Medical Education Partners internal referral network, monitor referrals, returns, and members span of care.

Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or EC FMG certification.

Rotates through all Hospitalist services, including but not limited to: the General University, Swing, Night and Specialty services.

Admits patients to the Hospitalist Program and for overnight admits.

Serves as the Attending Physician of record. Rounds on assigned patients/patients on personal census.

Discharges patients when medically appropriate.

Provides cross-coverage for all Hospitalist Program patients and any other patient in the Medical Center as needed.

Experience At least one year Ambulatory/Office experience.

Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.

Assists providers and co-workers as part of the health care team.

Prepares patients for examination by escorting them from the reception area to the exam/treatment room.

Prepares, cleans and maintains exam and treatment rooms according to proper infection control standards,
