Current unencumbered state licensure per state requirements

Provide Psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients suffering from psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Therapies include group, individual and family.

Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation

Knowledge of the values, principles and methodologies in the treatment of mental illness.

Strong organizational / time management skills

BS/B in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, MA/MS/MOT preferred

Flexible with strong time management/organizational skills

Invested in mentorship both in learning and sharing of clinical knowledge

Acute care and/or oncology experience strongly preferred

Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments of rehabilitative needs. Based on assessment findings, develop individualized patient goals and treatment plans.

Participate in mentorship, both as mentor and mentee, through various teaching and learning opportunities.

Preferred: Master's degree in related field.

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Occ Therapist License – CA; CCS Paneling.

At least one year of experience as a Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting

Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of California

Graduate from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy

Attend training sessions to increase knowledge and skills.

2-4 years of Related Experience

Develop treatment plans for patients or clients.

Coordinate activities with courts, probation officers, community services, or other post-treatment agencies.

Supervise or direct other workers providing services to clients or patients.

Counsel family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, and supporting clients or patients.
