Experience: 1 year Inpatient experience in rehab, Med Surg, Ortho or Neuro required

Shift: Nights/Days, 36 hours per week or could be a 36/48 or 48/48 rotation

(1) year of professional nursing experience

Bachelor's Degree in nursing Or Associates Degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement

Or Technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement

Or Must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN.

Knowledge of/and ability to apply principles and practices in management, supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Knowledge and skill in caring for individuals with TB, MDR TB and Hansen’s Disease patients and other medical-surgical conditions.

Skill in performing approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behavior.

Knowledge of Joint Commission, Medicare and state and federal regulations pertaining to health care and accreditation standards and criteria.

Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice, including cultural, social, and economic forces which affect the health of families and communities.

Advanced knowledge in infection control practices and nosocomial infections.

Coordinating timely discharge planning, consultations and participating in patient/family education in collaboration with the healthcare team.

A Master of Science in Nursing and certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Excellent organizational and communication skills and computer skills required.

Working 36 hours per week, day/night rotation and rotating weekends and holidays.

MA licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
