Current certification in Infection and Prevention Control through the Certification Board of Infection Control (CBIC) preferred.
Two (2) years experience in an acute care or community healthcare setting.
Experience to demonstrate the following:
Experience working in process improvement, epidemiology, microbiology preferred.
Experience with a hospital Infection Prevention and Control Program preferred.
Implements, monitors, and updates a comprehensive program that encompasses both patient care and employee health issues.

Three (3) years of general nursing experience, including experience in Infection Control.
Experience to demonstrate the following:
Occasional: walking, lifting and carrying light weight materials, lifting supplies/equipment up to maximum 35 pounds, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
May be subject to many interruptions.
Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse.
