Infection Control Nurse Coordinator Jobs in Iowa

Responsible for the planning, designing, and performance of the functions of the Madigan Infection Control Program.

Instructs hospital staff in proper infection control procedures.

Supervises the investigation of infection control issues and the follow-up care for patients exposed to infectious diseases.

Gathers and analyzing infection data to make evidence-based decisions.

Educates Medical and Public Health professionals on infection prevention protocols to facilitate emergency preparedness.

Assists with the development of action plans in case of a community or hospital outbreak to minimize the potentially devastating impact.

Experience working with Practice Management Database and/or Electronic Medical Record system.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :

MPH or equivalent education or experience.

Position requires signing a statement of understanding of Dependent Adult/Elder Abuse Reporting Requirement.

Current DEA certification with schedules II-V

National NP board certification in aligned specialty with the practice area
