Overview Industrial Athletic Trainers are responsible for providing preventative and rehabilitative care to athletes and workers in industrial settings. They assess, diagnose, and treat injuries, as well as provide education and advice on injury prevention. They also develop and implement rehabilitation programs to help athletes and workers return to their pre-injury level of performance. Detailed Job Description Industrial Athletic Trainers are responsible for providing preventative and rehabilitative care to athletes and workers in industrial settings. They assess, diagnose, and treat injuries, as well as provide education and advice on injury prevention. They also develop and implement rehabilitation programs to help athletes and workers return to their pre-injury level of performance. Industrial Athletic Trainers must have a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, as well as the ability to recognize and treat a wide variety of injuries. They must also be able to communicate effectively with athletes, workers, and other healthcare professionals. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
• Ability to recognize and treat a wide variety of injuries
• Ability to develop and implement rehabilitation programs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field
• Certification from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques
• Knowledge of injury prevention techniques
Job Experience
• Previous experience as an Athletic Trainer in an industrial setting is preferred
• Previous experience working with athletes and workers in a variety of settings
