Job Description of Immigration Specialist An Immigration Specialist is responsible for providing advice and assistance to individuals and businesses on immigration matters. They are knowledgeable in the laws and regulations related to immigration and are able to provide guidance on the best course of action for their clients. They must be able to interpret and explain complex immigration laws and regulations to their clients. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of immigration laws and regulations

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in law, political science, international relations, or a related field
• At least two years of experience in immigration law
• Knowledge of the U.S. immigration system
• Ability to work with a variety of clients
• Ability to work with a variety of computer software programs
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of immigration laws and regulations
• Knowledge of the U.S. immigration system
• Knowledge of the visa application process
• Knowledge of the naturalization process
• Knowledge of the deportation process
• Knowledge of the refugee process
• Knowledge of the asylum process
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience in immigration law
• Experience in providing advice and assistance to individuals and businesses on immigration matters
• Experience in interpreting and explaining complex immigration laws and regulations
• Experience in working with a variety of clients
• Experience in working with a variety of computer software programs
Job Responsibilities
• Provide advice and assistance to individuals and businesses on immigration matters

• Prepare and submit visa applications
• Prepare and submit naturalization applications
• Prepare and submit deportation applications
• Prepare and submit refugee applications
• Prepare and submit asylum applications
• Monitor changes in immigration laws and regulations
• Maintain client records and files
• Respond to inquiries from clients
