Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic Jobs in Utah

Performs preventative maintenance on all vehicles (approx. 97) every 90 days.

Performs inspections on vehicles every 90 days.

Repairs, as necessary, all vehicles to ensure they are safe and legal for use.

Performs emergency on-road vehicle break down repairs as necessary.

Handles all transportation related agency inspections.

Purchases all parts & supplies as needed.

Hiring salary range is commensurate with experience and excellent benefits package available.

Full time employee coverage for the Core Plan is paid at 100% by the County.

Employee plus 1 child, $225

Employee plus 2+ children, $450

Employee plus family coverage, $605

Provides for overall management of the Fire Department fleet of emergency response apparatus, and staff/support vehicles.

Attends regular training to maintain basic and advanced skills and certifications.

Previous experience working in a remote location.

Five (5) years’ experience with heavy construction and snow removal equipment.

Four (4) years’ experience in a motor pool or commercial maintenance facility.

Three (3) years of experience in fire apparatus repair and maintenance work, and
