REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Nationally recognized Personal Trainer Certification, CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.

Building and maintain client base, instruct small group training or one-on-one training.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes

Supports the Player Care Coordinator to ensure commitment to player education and well-being.

Minimum of 5 years coaching or in a specialized role (video, sports performance, psychology, nutrition, education, etc.) – Required.

Professional playing experience – Preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Experience using game analysis software (Sports Code / HUDL).

Education, Experience, & Skills (Minimum Requirement):

Manage client and personal schedules.

First Aid and CPR certification required upon hire or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Required to maintain.

Provides fitness and wellness assessments based on member goals and preferences.

Develops personalized exercise programs to meet the needs of members.

Provides coaching towards improved wellness for each individual.

Current Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider.

Personal Trainer - Racine, Wisconsin

Part-time, up to 25 hpw

Hours based on schedulted sessions

Past experience playing, coaching and/or management experience within the sport of basketball is preferred

In-depth knowledge of basketball skills and terminology.

The effective transfer of knowledgeable teaching, of the skills and vocabulary.

Enthusiastic personal demonstration of the skills and vocabulary of the game of basketball in the clinic and camp setting.

Two years of experience hosting camps, managing tournaments and other sports related events is required

Prior experience with a professional sports team is a plus

Must hold a current certification in Personal Training by a recognized certifying organization (ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NSCA).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.

Conduct fitness assessments and personal training appointments with members.

Communicate and follow-up with members enrolled in the Personal Training program in a timely manner.

Ensure that all YMCA Personal Training policies are being adhered to by your own actions and the actions of your clients.

Be sure that all sessions are financially accounted for by your clients and all payment receipts are properly handled.

Knowledge of local, state, and national early learning requirements preferred.

Maintain knowledge of and support MAELA’s programs and policies

Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.

Encouraging families to be part of the child’s learning experience.

Providing opportunities for conferences and other venues in which parents are made to feel part of the child’s learning experience.

Promoting MAELA philosophy and educational objectives.

Experience working with philanthropic fund management is PREFERRED.

Minimum of five to seven years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field is REQUIRED.

Current Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider.

Current Adult First Aid & CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
