ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Shadow members of the accounting department as they perform their duties.

Preparing financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other requested documents.

Prepare basic general ledger reconciliation.

Building and maintain financial models, forecasts and management reports as well as present findings in a meaningful format

1 - 2 years of progressive work experience in FP&A role, corporate finance, or investment banking, etc.

Advanced Excel/financial modeling skills and proven quantitative and analytical abilities

Interface with Fundraising and Sales teams to manage revenue targets and track progress against goals

Perform activity-based and other costing analyses to determine the cost of products and services offered

Enhance the organization's business intelligence and decision support capabilities through data, modeling, and systematic solutions

A well-rounded skill set including strong time-management, communication, teamwork skills, as well as a proficiency in MS Excel.

10+ years of related accounting experience, with 5+ years management experience. Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.

Maintain and improve rolling cash forecast, management of monthly reporting, and assist with the preparation of annual GAAP budget.

Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff.

Experience with board member and investor interaction

Strong GAAP accounting knowledge and understanding with proven ability to apply complex GAAP rules.

Good negotiation skills for vendor and procurement management.

Proven work experience as a manager.

Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases preferably hands on experience with SAP B1.

Detail-oriented, well-organized in time management.

Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.

Management of staff to ensure timely completion of numerous quarterly and annual state compliance filings.

Coaches, mentors and develops team members in the timely and accurate completion of assigned responsibilities.
