Environmental Safety Coordinator Jobs in Texas

Certifications in safety and environmental management is a plus.

Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health skills;

Experience in Safety Training and Accident Investigation;

Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Ability to develop safety policies and procedures;

Maintains skills and knowledge required to perform job duties.

Assists in the analysis, review and sustainability of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

Determine gaps within corporate HSE initiatives and local health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Maintain confidentiality and appropriate recordkeeping standards in line with corporate data protection and retention requirements.

Assists in maintenance of local HSE policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements.

3-5 years of Construction Safety related experience or equivalent combination of education and related safety experience

Time management, prioritizing & multi-tasking a must

Acts as a Safety consultant / advisor to managers and leaders.

Manages findings from third party audit to corrective action and closure.

Must have current OSHA 500 & 510 certification

Moderate PC skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Must have strong process skills for standardization, continuous improvement, and program management.

Supports a safety culture of excellence for safety and environmental management through effective communication

Experience in an industrial work environment with safety responsibilities.

Must have good problem-solving skills and experience.

Implements safety requirements, monitors training and inspection records

Manages the safety aspects of contractors that do work on site

Communicate effectively with management on Safety & Health issues.

Assist in establishing goals for the Safety & Health program at the facility.

Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Safety & Health regulations.

Conduct training on Safety & Health programs.

Develop training programs on Safety & Health programs.

Develop corrective actions for critical situations.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, prepare reports, and communicate findings to management, highlighting areas for improvement.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

Stay current with applicable safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends, and assist in ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.

2+ years of experience in safety coordination or a related role.

Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and industry best practices.

Ability to manage competing requirements

Ability to provide schedule management and development for long term projects

Knowledge of sustainability, including carbon free energy, electric vehicles, net zero emission buildings, and climate resilient infrastructure

Ability to manage multi-disciplinary programs
