Entry Level Industrial Engineer Jobs

Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices

1 or more year’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Applies basic industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements

Supports the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows

BS degree in Industrial Engineering / Logistics/ Supply chain Management and /or equivalent warehouse experience.

Project management skills: maintain issues log, create process flows, create, and maintain Standard Operating procedures SOPs and other documents.

Act as a liaison between the Engineering Department and the Operation’s management team in Reno DC to maximize productivity and quality.

Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory planning, warehouse management)

Experience in Microsoft Access preferred working knowledge of SQL.

Observe/evaluate employee’s tasks and responsibilities and identify bottle necks, and problems related to systems, procedures, or pace issues.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated solid teamwork, interpersonal and planning skills

Make operational teams autonomous in the long term with regard to managing their progress by ensuring their acceptance of change

Apply Industrial Engineer techniques and Lean concepts with the intent of improving process flows, reducing operational expenses, and improving productivity

BS in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical major

The ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision

Industrial Engineering experience in a factory setting, familiarity with manufacturing operations, manufacturing planning, engineering drawings and specifications, lean concepts (certifications preferred)

Follows compliance requirements with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines

Perform data entry and analysis

0 - 5 years of experience in planning, design, and/or construction of water, wastewater, reuse, and/or stormwater infrastructure projects

EIT Certification or passed FE exam

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Perform system modeling, process calculations, and hydraulic calculations to size and select facilities

Confer with management and engineering associates to implement plans and recommendations

Ability to continue education as necessary

1 year of realated experience or training

Compile time study data, input time study data, and calculate associate percent performance by individual work element and overall performance

Train operations managagement and hourly personnel on Distribution Center Methods

Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities
