Job Description

The Role
Located at the Design Center in Warren, Michigan, the individual in this role will lead the conceptualization and development of Design projects within the Industrial Design Group working across GM Design, Marketing, Fabrication and Prototyping, external suppliers, and creative agencies. Industrial Design is interviewing for multiple positions including:
  • Component Design
  • User Experience/User Interface
  • Product Design
  • Graphic Design
:
Create new and unique design (Product, Component and Graphic) ideas and concepts under general supervision for automotive vehicles and other mobility products through traditional sketches as well as digitally through the use of 2D and 3D technology. Collaborate frequently with design team, sculpting organization, engineering and fabrication teams in the development of new designs. Maintain knowledge of current design trends and technology. Present ideas frequently to management and leadership to communicate design ideas. Work duties involve a considerable amount of perception and creativity as well as a strong degree of skill and accuracy to deliver work in a deadline driven environment. Qualifications:
Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in one of the following areas (or related fields):
  • Industrial Design
  • Product Design
  • Graphic Design
  • Transportation Design
  • UX Design
Must graduate by or before September 2023.
