Employment Counsel Jobs in Iowa

Draft and negotiate offer letters and employment-related agreements, including severance, separation, restrictive covenant, retention, and other employment-related agreements

Assist in designing and leading training events on employment law and benefits matters

Manage pre-filing demands including investigating claims, communicating with opposing counsel and negotiating resolution

Employment law and litigation experience at a major law firm

Executive compensation experience in-house and/or at a major law firm

Experience supporting international business operations and partnering with HR and other professionals across multiple regions

EXPERIENCE, SKILL and ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Work closely with the VP, Employment Law to manage legal needs and requests for advice from human resources.

Manage and/or support internal investigations related to employment and human resources issues.

Manage non-litigated employment disputes with or without outside counsel.

Manage litigation employment disputes and direct strategy with outside counsel.

7 years of experience in An attorney in a law firm or in-house role working on employment matters required.
