Electro Optical Engineer Jobs in Washington

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience coding in at least one higher-level language (e.g., Python, C++, Go, etc.)

Experience in developing or using networking related software, frameworks and APIs

Experience developing, provisioning or understanding network device configuration for at least one major vendor or any Linux-based system

Working knowledge of ROADM, coherent transponders and long-haul operation optical networks

Experience with developing software in the context of building and/or operating large scale networking systems

Exceptional organizational skills for handling lots of details and moving parts

Perform electro-mechanical assembly and disassembly (multi-system rack, back-shell kits, circuit board assemblies)

Test transducers and terminate transducer cables

Hardware testing, software testing, Windows environments

Perform incoming and outgoing inspection tests

Move inventory through correct processes and ensure it starts and ends in right location
