Experience with ISO Quality Management Systems.

MS or PhD in Optics or Physics with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial environment.

Minimum 5 years of experience in optical design of opto-electronic devices.

Waveguide design experience using different software programs.

Knowledge of wafer structure design and Mask design.

Knowledge of testing and evaluating waveguide performance.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience coding in at least one higher-level language (e.g., Python, C++, Go, etc.)

Experience in developing or using networking related software, frameworks and APIs

Experience developing, provisioning or understanding network device configuration for at least one major vendor or any Linux-based system

Working knowledge of ROADM, coherent transponders and long-haul operation optical networks

Experience with developing software in the context of building and/or operating large scale networking systems

Develop, create and manage Bill of Material (BOM) changes and support ongoing maintenance and accuracy in cooperation with other functions

Experience manufacturing of optical component/sub-system manufacturing or a related components

Experience with optical performance parameters such as: Bandwidth, IL, PDL, PMD, CD, Ripple or specification sensitivity and interdependencies

Experience with a variety of optical test and measurement equipment such as: OSAs, polarization controllers, interferometers, TLS and/or ASE.

Experience with optical alignment and coupling, beam propagation rules and/or polarization optics

Experience with statistical analysis techniques using modeling tools such as Minitab.

Work independently under limited supervision (self-management)

Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).

Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas

Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays)

Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)

Experience with schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays).

5 years of experience in the field or related area

Experience with complete engineering lifecycle (Design to volume production)

Optical simulation experience (Zemax, Code-V, Light Tools, Trace Pro and other industry standard tools)

Parametric mechanical modeling experience (Pro-Engineer, CREO and Solidworks)

Meet performance, cost & schedule requirements. Design to cost, producibility, reliability, testability, maintainability, etc

Opto-mechanical tolerance and thermal analysis

Experience in optical and sensor system design maturation, including requirement development from physical based modeling, and knowledge of fabrication/vendor processes.

Drive optical system requirements definitions. Flow down optical system requirements to sub-system and component level. Resolve requirements discrepancies at different levels.

BS in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Experience in developing systems with multi-function/multi-disciplinary threads.

Experience in one or more system optimization and analysis tools, such as MATLAB, C++, or Java.

5+ years of experience in research or advanced optics development.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Ability to interpret optical and mechanical specifications. Experience working with or educational training understanding optical systems.

Experience writing image analysis software in MATLAB or Python.

Experience working in a team environment with project deadlines.

Sufficient verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and present and explain technical information.

Experience gathering and compiling data for technical reporting or publication.

Working knowledge and experience with RF/Microwave design and testing

Working knowledge and experience with manufacturing support, such as optical component testing and performance evaluation.

Establish and manage test data collection, archiving, analysis and presentation

Minimum of 3 years of industry experience preferred, or less experienced candidate with exceptional track record of related work

Hands on experience with optical chip, component and system-level prototyping and testing for Telecommunications or Data Center Interconnect (DCI) product development

Fluent in programming skills in a PC/Windows environment using C, Python to enable test scripting and automation
