Electro Mechanical Technician Jobs in Ohio

Compliance experience with ESD, Security, Occupational, Health, and Environmental safety requirements

Minimum 5 years of related technical experience in electrical/electronics, electro-mechanical, or industrial maintenance

Associates degree in electrical/electronics, electro-mechanical, or industrial maintenance preferred, or relevant experience

Experience with component repair and motor and sensor uninstall and reinstall

Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and PLC ladder logic

Experience working with the necessary documentation and computer programs

Create and close work orders into asset management system with appropriate data, to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.

Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.

Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.

Troubleshoot basic conveyance problems and understand the resources to resolve them.

Locate and track spare parts from inventory.

Respond to semi-complex service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.

Support management of tools, equipment, and lab supplies (maintenance, calibrations, raw material stock)

5+ years experience in AUV or applicable field (robotics, aerospace, medical) as an electric / electro-mechanical technician

Strong experience working with printed circuit boards (PCBAs) and wiring harness manufacturing

Works well within a team dynamic and has good verbal / written communication and computer skills

Experience in sub-sea robotics (AUVs, UUVs, underwater equipment)

Experience working with electrical systems up to 400VDc

Provide electrical/electronic and mechanical diagnostics. Perform repairs to process machinery, equipment and controls within assigned work area.

Provide all required preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on process machinery and equipment within assigned work areas.

Maintain technical competence in advancing technology via frequent training courses, on-the-job training, and vendor schools.

Assist in resolving maintenance related process problems which may require the proficient operation of that equipment.

Associates degree in Electro-Mechanical technology or equivalent desired

Competency demonstrated through technical testing

Basic mechanical knowledge or aptitude is preferred

Basic math and computer skills

Read bill of materials and interpret basic assembly prints

Cleaning and preparing units and/or parts

Ability to read and write English

High school diploma or GED

Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.

Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.

Ability to maintain certification to issue Safety Work Permits Required

4+ years industrial electro-mechanical experience in lieu of degree

5+ years’ experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and shop tools

VFD, PLC and sequential programming devices experience

Advanced knowledge of AC and DC motor drive controls

High School diploma or equivalent required. Typically, an Associate degree or vocational technical training preferred. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.

Demonstrate a general knowledge with 1-2 years experience in a technical or specialty area.
