Electrical Mechatronics Engineer Jobs

3+ years of experience as an operations engineer, field support engineer, mechatronics engineer, or similar role

Experience with mechanical design using 3D CAD

Good knowledge and understanding of Mechatronics

Programming experience with embedded systems

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Ability to interface effectively with remote engineering team members to ensure timely resolution of operational issues

Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level

Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between Suppliers and Tesla Purchasing, Quality, and Design teams

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or evidence of experience and exceptional ability

Experience in Quality Systems a plus: PPAP/APQP processes

Mechanical design and optimization of pedestrian and occupant restraint systems.

1+ year of experience in a factory setting launching a new product

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics, and control systems.

Experience with software programming languages such as C/C++, MATLAB, or Python for control system development.

Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience

Working within multi-disciplinary teams to define requirements for new and current designs.

Minimum MS or Higher Preferred; with minimum 10 years of relevant experience. Advanced degrees may substitute for experience.

Complex mechanism and precision machine design experience.

Track record translating user needs into engineering requirements and elegant design solutions.

Medical device product experience is a plus.

Great time management and task orientated skills.

Minimum 5 years of Hands-on experience in Electrical Engineering field.

Skilled in Allen-Bradley, Siemens, AutoCAD (2D & 3D), Logic Controls (PLC) programming languages: FBD, LD, SFC, or SCL, etc.

Skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database or spreadsheets, etc.

Determine the best hardware and software to meet electro-mechanical engineering system requirements.

Working knowledge of designing, building, and programming PLCs is required with Allen-Bradley or Siemens equipment.
