Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Minimum requirements):

· Organizational, planning, and time management skills.

· Management and mentoring skills.

· Working knowledge of special education compliance.

· Employee relations and performance management.

· Master’s degree in a special education-related field.

Principles of record keeping, records management, and management of confidential records. Skill in:

Oversee and manage the purchasing of resources for promotion of educational equity and cultural proficiency throughout the District.

Develop and implement District-wide professional growth and development on topics related to educational equity that align with the MPS strategic plan.

Rules and regulations of the Minnesota Department of Education and other governing agencies.

Statistical software applications, databases and spreadsheets used to manage large data files.

Methods for improving student achievement in public education.

Principles of record keeping and records management.

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines

Develops and implements district-wide professional growth and development on topics related to educational equity that align with MPS Strategic Plan.

Collaborates with district professional development team to identify and align educational equity professional development across the district.

Rules and regulations of the Minnesota Department of Education and other governing agencies.

Provides support in planning site-based equity work through thought partnership, co-creation of school policies, procedures, instructional strategies and practice.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a fine attention to detail.

2. At least two (2) years of experience in administrative work or office management.

Previous experience in educational administration.

This position will provide coordination for all educational needs of children, coordinating with the public school systems.
