TITLE: Educational Services Coordinator


INDUSTRY: Education


LOCATION: New Haven, CT 06515


DEPARTMENT: UC Long-Term Foster Care


REPORTS TO: The Assistant Program Manager


SUMMARY:


  • This position will provide coordination for all educational needs of children, coordinating with the public school systems.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Develop and coordinate educational extracurricular activities.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Oversee the implementation of recreational activities and enrichment activities for UC while they are in school.
  • Ensuring that forms and documents are correctly filled in.
  • Monitor children's progress and identify areas of improvement.
  • Making sure the following the curriculum for UC in the Transitional Foster Care
  • Provides administrative support to ensure the effectiveness of educational services.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the curriculum.


COMPETENCIES:


  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to get along with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Culturally competent.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a fine attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong ability to build rapport and develop meaningful working relationships with teachers, support staff, UC, and foster families.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Courteous, professional, and engaging.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


1. Associate degree Diploma

2. At least two (2) years of experience in administrative work or office management.

3. Bilingual English Spanish


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Previous experience in educational administration.
