Director Of Retail Development Jobs in California

Strong leadership, influence, organizational and project management skills

Accountable for ensuring management and reduction of excess and obsolete inventory in respective accounts

Strong relationship skills: ability to lead and manage multiple high-level relationships

Strong collaboration with marketing, operations, and finance teams to drive growth

Identify, build and manage growth driving sales initiates, optimizing sell-through by retailer on a quarterly and annual basis

Provide up to date net shipments, risks and opportunities on a weekly basis to Executive and Finance teams

5+ years of Retail Development and/or Franchise Development experience and industry knowledge

3+ years of experience either at Mattel or specifically with top (mass) retail accounts

Experience in developing cross category merchandise entertainment programs and retail strategies at major accounts (e.g. Walmart, Target, Amazon) highly preferred

Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills

Strong presentation and analytical skills

Contributes to building and driving U.S. retail strategies for Mattel-owned franchises across assigned retail accounts and all non-toy, licensed categories
