The Scientist will validate the quantification of Biomarkers, New Chemical and Biological Entities in tissues, biological fluids or chemical matrices.

Perform assays for routine batch analysis of Biomarkers, NCE and NBE in biological fluids/chemical matrix involving simple to complex analytical techniques.

Perform laboratory work to FDA and international regulatory GLP and GCP standards.

Initiate and lead new tracks of work to enhance ranking capabilities of Etsy’s Recommendation engine.

Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, applied scientists, product managers, and designers.

Experience with / working in one of the following fields: deep learning, uplift modeling, fairness in recommender systems, reinforcement learning.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience using Scala Spark, Airflow, and Tensorflow.

Experience using Google Cloud Platform tools (GCP).

Develops solutions to routine technical problems by applying basic technical knowledge and experience.

Prepares prototype products using research lab, pilot lab, manufacturing facilities and equipment, as required.

Interfaces frequently with various internal departments (e.g. Marketing, Procurement, Engineering, QA and Operations) and customers in accomplishing project milestones.

Selects and evaluates raw materials for experiments

Sets-up, operates and maintains pilot lab and research lab equipment.

Designs and conducts basic shelf life and storage studies, including product and package performance evaluations under various conditions.
