Development Scientist I Jobs in Illinois

Performs the duties of a Laboratory Manager (e.g., cleaning and organizing the lab) as required.

At least 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience in academia and/or industry

Previous experience in a quality control or other regulated (FDA, EPA etc.) testing laboratory a plus.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Productivity software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).

Basic knowledge and proficiency using experimental design software (e.g., JMP / MiniTab).

Participate on teams for process improvement initiatives and review key decisions impacting project timelines with management.

Provide/present key clinical study information to function/therapeutic area and management.

Experience in multi-faceted, broad-based multiple functions/therapeutic areas or clinical functions with in depth knowledge of clinical study issues.

Bachelors/Master’s degree, in Science related to Field with 11+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or Pharm-D/PhD with 1+years

Experience in team, drug development, and scientific project leadership or related.

Experience supporting clinical research, drug development and/or function/therapeutic area operations.

Encourage adoption of your computational tools through stakeholder training and education.

Basic understanding in software engineering best practices and experience developing software with a team of engineers or data scientists.

Experience with Spark and SQL.

Strong written and oral English communication skills.

Background in life sciences or work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Develop dashboards using Plotly, Dash, and Shiny.

Familiarity with data analysis, presentation, management and statistical software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Study Director, JMP).

For Scientist I: BS with 5+ years of experience or MS with 2+ years relevant experience.

For Scientist II: BS with 7+ years of experience or MS with 5+ years relevant experience.

Work as part of a multidisciplinary research team under the mentorship of a supervisor.

Independently design and conduct critical experiments that further project goals.

Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Experience with SharePoint, Learning Management Systems, instructional design and interactive eLearning software (e.g. Articulate 360) preferred.

Effective time management; maximizes productivity.

Strong foundation in adult learning theory, and experience with advanced learning methodologies and technologies.
