Denim Designer Jobs

Degree or Certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design or equivalent work experience preferred

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Support the supplier calibration and certification process for supplier driven fit approvals.

Relevant experience in apparel related role.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of 3D programs a must.

Management & development of a team to deliver execution of strategies

Support the management and delivery of the seasonal Advertising campaign for all US and International requests

Management & delivery of Retail training twice a year for key seasons

Develop and manage the 7FAM Brand identity internally and with all International markets

Strong technical denim wash knowledge, able to troubleshoot wash formulas with factories.

Track, manage and organize wash and approval standards library.

Minimum 3-5 years of Denim experience. Must have worked in denim apparel category.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Spearhead research and development of all seasonal denim wash and design concepts.

Responsible for bringing new wash and sustainability ideas to the table each season while also conducting seasonless, continual research and development.

Denim experience, at least 4yrs including exposure to wash and fabric developments

Thorough knowledge of silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, color use, sewing techniques, and trim

Strong computer knowledge including Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel, MIRO and CLO

STRONG Denim knowledge, inclusive of wash/fit/fabric

Research global markets in order to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques and competitive inspiration.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling into national retail accounts.

Experience driving private label APPAREL sales, preferably denim.

Experience with developing and growing a newly created company.

Strong organizational, planning skills and retail Math.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must have experience driving private label apparel.

Have a strong denim background and good working knowledge of woven fabrics and silhouettes.

Strong knowledge of fit, fabric and construction details.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in both written and verbal communication.

Create tech packs for all development samples, including sketches, construction details, and layouts

Initiating entire product design process for denim to include color, print, fabric & trim research, concept creation, sketching, and fit.

Making sketches by hand or on the computer to communicate design concepts.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Research competitive stores, sharing knowledge of seasonal buys to gain market intelligence

At least 3 years of experience in denim design.

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Work closely with Design Director, and other partners in technical and creative execution of styles.

Be able to conduct fit sessions independently and manage process. Resolve fit issues

7+ years experience in Technical Design.

Knowledge of garment construction methods.

Knowledge of structural and decorative trims.

Pattern Drafting and Draping skills.

Assist Merchants to organize assortments aligned to overall department strategy, resulting in increased earnings

Computer sketches, build tech packs using design programs(Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc)
