Two years' experience in relevant laboratory setting

Performs daily billing and coding compliance.

Verifies and corrects charges as necessary, adding appropriate CPT/HCPCS code modifiers.

Reviews and analyzes daily and periodic charge reports.

Corrects dates of service as needed for charges posted to accounts without admit/discharge dates.

Manually enters charges for miscellaneous tests.

Associate’s Degree or related certification and two plus years of experience working with insurance and billing.

Extensive knowledge of insurance and benefits.

Distributes information to virology patients regarding their benefits and insurance enrollment, as well as billing.

Assists Senior Project Manager with the invoicing process.

Ensures insurance/benefits are accurately documented for patients in EPIC and the Statewide CM database.

At least moderately skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.

For flexible or full remote work from home positions, reliable high speed Internet connection and dedicated work space are required.

Competitive Compensation - This position offers targeted 1st year annual compensation of $34,112 with an average 40 hour work week.
