Contracted Grant Writer Jobs in Iowa

Management and Reporting - Prepare monthly summaries outlining activities and results undertaken. Create a calendar of grant reporting and prepare reports.

Grant writing experience, preferably with an education focus and/or in the SF Bay Area.

Manage the process of supplying progress reports when required by a grant-making organization that has funded a project or program.

Coordinate with the Finance to create expenditure and income budgets and develop other enclosures to accompany grant submissions.

Ensure compliance with federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and board policy.

Manages external grant writers as hired for federal and state grant competitions.

Research grant-making organizations and analyze them to identify likely funding sources for specific projects and programs.

Develop individual grant proposals in accordance with each grant-making organization’s preferences and follow exactly each grant-making organization’s guidelines.

Has familiarity and knowledge of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Health Curriculum Framework, including health, physical education, and social- emotional learning competencies

Experience collaborating with others as part of a team

Experience with athletic programming in districts and student athletes.

Supports DESE initiatives and programming related to athletics

Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, business, nonprofit management, etc.)

Applying the appropriate grant codes, polices, and procedures for compliance of the grant requirements.

Staying current on grant funding opportunities and requirements.

At least 2-4 years of experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

Familiarity with grant application processes, requirements, and source software/tools.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

Working closely with the Finance Department to ensure all requirements for application budget materials and financial reporting are met.

2 years experience crafting grant proposals and reports, or related.

Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.

Strong writing skills with an ability to write compelling text that accurately outlines the importance of Sundance Institute’s mission.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize.

This is a fully remote position that does not require any onsite work duties.

Masters’ degree in any scientific discipline, or relevant experience that provides the scientific and technical skills required to support this role.

Experience with writing grants, particularly to government agencies.

Experience summarizing scientific topics for public consumption.

Experience with university-based research concepts, principles, and conduct of research.
