Overview
CGFNS International, Inc. is embarking on an effort to build the intellectual capital of the enterprise and to advance scientific knowledge about health workforce development, lifelong learning, and care delivery issues worldwide with the division, The Research Institute.
The Research Institute will seek the necessary autonomy, when needed, to pursue research, grant-funded activities, sponsored programs, and other contracted services. Initially, the Institute will require financial support from CGFNS, with increasing reliance on external funds over time.
We are looking for smart, curious, and passionate individuals to join our culturally diverse team and contribute to our shared success.

Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Note: You may be asked to work Monday – Thursday including a Saturday or Sunday as needed.

$60,000Essential Functions
- Researching and identifying potential grant opportunities that align with the mission of CGFNS International and the goals of the Research Institute.
- Developing grant proposals that effectively communicate the Research Institute’s goals, objectives, and strategies to fund its programs, fellows, and interns.
- Responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), assessing the client’s needs, and determining the deliverables that can be met by the Research Institute.
- Monitoring and producing accurate records of grant submissions and outcomes once issued.
- Staying current on grant funding opportunities and requirements.
- Applying the appropriate grant codes, polices, and procedures for compliance of the grant requirements.
- Monitoring the grant once it is issued and budgeting its funds.
- Proving performance review reports on awarded grants.
- Submitting timely and accurate grant proposals to potential funders.
- Collaborating with the Research Institute’s leadership and program staff to gather relevant data needed for grant applications.
- Any other duties applicable to the position
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, business, nonprofit management, etc.)
- Understands and executes the various stages of the grant lifecycle including pre-award review, grant progress monitoring, and award closure.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong research and writing skills, including the ability to develop compelling narratives that effectively communicate the mission of CGFNS International and the goals of the Research Institute.
- Familiarity with grant application processes, requirements, and source software/tools.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
