Proven history of successful trading book management

Oversee a trading book as a Senior trader and generate revenues and manage risk for the respective business

Trade a book and deliver on budgeted revenues and manage book risk

Coordinate with desk analysts as needed and with sales to develop the franchise and manage and mentor junior traders as needed

Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics

15+ years of experience in a related role

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 4 years of experience in an operations support role

Daily interaction with Traders, Sales, Technology, Legal, Strategists and other Operational departments

Extensive exposure to industry authorities within Portfolio Management and across other functional areas of the firm

Coordinating with Portfolio Management on re-balancing of portfolios

Assisting in account transitions and cash flow management

Responding to ad hoc requests from the Portfolio Management team

Good understanding of fixed income and equities including knowledge of most cash and derivative instruments

Outstanding communication skills are required to operate in a complex financial environment

Present and defend investment recommendations on individual commodities to portfolio managers

Develop, interpret, and manage valuation models

Analyze/ monitor commodity and sector news quickly and concisely and convey information to portfolio managers and investment teams.

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commodity research, preferably with experience covering agriculture commodities (grains/ oilseeds, softs, and livestock)

Undergraduate and applicable post-graduate (MBA) degrees from well-regarded institutions is preferred. A CFA certification is desirable but not required.

Manage Procurement and Sourcing Strategies for various Food Commodities

Develop strong knowledge of the Markets inflation/deflation

Proven experience Hedging/Futures Tracking of Various Commodities

Research and negotiate vendor agreements and contracts

Hedging of commodities through market exchanges

Interacting with Commodities traders, business unit management, operations and technology

Preparing and maintaining hedge exemptions on behalf of the business unit
