Director Commodities Procurement - Fats & Oils, Sweeteners, Cocoa

One of the nation’s leading food production organizations is currently seeking a Director Commodities Procurement - Fats & Oils, Sugars/Sweeteners, Cocoa to aid in the success of their growing team. This individual will have a focus most heavily on Risk Management, RFPs, Vendor Management, Futures Tracking, Options, Market Research, and Procurement of various Food Ingredient Commodities. This role is a pivotal and strategic position with exceptional growth opportunity within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strong knowledge of the Markets inflation/deflation
• Manage RFP processes
• Hedging of commodities through market exchanges
• Establish and manage key supplier relations and supplier negotiations
• Research and negotiate vendor agreements and contracts
• Risk Management and Futures Tracking
• Manage Procurement and Commodities Strategies for Fats & Oils, Sugars/Sweeteners, Cocoa
• Review suppliers and KPI development
• Work cross-functionally with other departments and executives within the company to execute short and long-term objectives

Key Qualifications:

• Experience with Risk Management/Hedging/Futures Tracking of Various Commodities Required
• Proven supplier relationship experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
• The ability to network effectively in the industry
• 6+ years Procurement/Commodities experience
• Food Industry/CPG experience required
• Proven cross-functional experience
