Job Description

As our College Counselor, you will help our 11th and 12th grade scholars with the college application process so that they can successfully matriculate to a four-year university. Day to day, you will manage a caseload of students, meet with them and their parents to understand college applications and financial aid, and plan and lead college access clinics. To thrive in this job, you must have experience advising students around college applications, financial aid and scholarships.

You'll know College Counselor is the right fit for you if…

  • You have experience managing a caseload of students, preferably students from underserved communities
  • You have experience advising students on college applications and financial aid applications
  • You are comfortable utilizing data to inform your work and to make improvements to better serve students
  • You care deeply about empowering underserved students to be the first in their families to go to college
  • You are excited to support our students by working with them in-person 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. Monday - Thursday and remotely 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Friday with flexibility for occasional morning and weekend hours
  • You enjoy coordinating and leading events and workshops for students, ranging from college tours to personal statement workshops

This position is full-time, exempt, with a full salary range of $64,880 - $97,320. However, aligned with our DEI practices, we typically bring in candidates between the minimum and maximum of $79,478 - $84,344.
