Essential Function Duties and Responsibilities

Performs daily field inspections to determine compliance with City Codes

Performs field inspections for compliance with provisions of business tax receipts

Conducts detailed inspections for compliance with the City's Property Maintenance Ordinance

Obtain knowledge with state UST and AST per Federal EPA regulations.

Gather and analyzes information skillfully.

Conduct visual inspections of our clients’ petroleum storage tank systems and associate facilities.

Obtain required documents to ensure compliance with regulations.

Gather and compiles the information into software platforms.

Minimum Qualifications, Licenses And Certifications

Must have three years of experience as a Code Enforcement Inspector or its equivalent.

FACE certification required within one (1) year from date of hire.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local housing, zoning, and related environmental laws, regulations, and ordinances.

or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

Experience in communicating effectively with employees and the general public while discussing, explaining and interpreting standards and codes.

Experience making presentations to groups, presenting cases in formal settings such as courts of government boards.

Possess the relevant International Code Council (ICC) certifications.

Interacts and negotiates with citizens and business owners to achieve compliance to County Codes or provide alternative administrative action.
