Claims Representative Trainee Jobs

No experience is necessary - insurance, business or customer service experience is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Working knowledge of MS Office applications.

Assist customers that have been involved in an auto accident.

Conducts a prompt, thorough and fair investigation by obtaining relevant facts to determine coverage, origin, and extent of loss.

Confirms or denies coverage of the claim based on the facts and the policy terms and conditions.

Completes day-to-day tasks without immediate supervision but has ready access to advice from more experienced team members.

Working knowledge of Athena required.

Delivers specific delegated Claims tasks assigned by a supervisor.

Examines and processes paper claims and/or electronic claims.

Determines whether to return, pend, deny, or pay claims within policies.

Determines steps necessary for adjudication.

Proficient oral and written communication skills

Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills

Independent, Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Contact and establish a rapport with customer, injured party or property owner to obtain information. Comply with 24-hour contact requirements.

No claims experience required but two years of business experience preferred

Computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Word and Excel, desired

Obtain all relevant facts to determine coverage, liability or compensability on claims files.

Determine and analyze damages through appraisal, inspection and investigation.

Evaluate information to assess proper resolution of claims to determine appropriate and fair payout.

You have prior experience in a fast paced environment, where multitasking and organizational skills were required.

You have 1+ years of direct Property and Casualty Insurance experience.

You are experienced in handling auto physical damage claims.

You have a working knowledge of excel, word, and email applications.

You are experienced within the high net worth industry a plus.

Your interpersonal, listening, written, and oral communication skills are excellent.
