3.1 Case Management activities are performed in accordance with Center policy and procedures.

3.2 Case Management activities are reflective of the services specified as being of need in the written service and assessment plan.

6.5 Must obtain and maintain Children and Families certification as a Case Manager.

4.2 Correctly completed service activity logs with progress notes attached are submitted to the finance department on a daily basis.

6.2 Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the Children's and Families Procedural Standards.

Two years of related work experience in Mental Health, and / or Substance Abuse field preferred

Ability to successfully manage conflict between clients as well as staff.

Must be able to meet requirements of all contracts, licensing regulations and State/Federal oversight.

Responsible for recruitment, training, and development of foster family homes.

Works cooperatively with the Department of Human Services, Bureau of Child and Adult Licensing, the court, and community providers.

Community integration techniques and basic living skills for individuals with co-occurring disorders. Basic knowledge of linking individuals to community resources.

Behavior Management and crisis intervention strategies

Effective communication, written, and verbal skills to include developing and maintaining cooperative and effective work relationships.

Accurately complete all record release requirements as required by AHCS policy within designated time frame

Diagnostic criteria in the DSM-V

Medicaid and DBHDS licensure regulations

Provides expert consultation to community professionals involved in the investigation and assessment of child abuse allegations.

Responsible for obtaining crucial forensic evidence necessary for criminal and dependency court cases of child abuse and neglect, including child homicides.

Maintain timely documentation in hospital charts for children admitted to Orlando Health hospitals when child abuse or neglect is suspected.

Provide depositions regarding case activities and findings for possible criminal prosecution of child abuse perpetrators.

Serve as expert witnesses in criminal and dependency court proceedings as needed.

Performs comprehensive, written psychosocial assessments of at-risk families.

Use of computer and network accessibility is a requirement as well as participation in various training sessions offered by the Department;

Manage a caseload of children and families that require ongoing service provision to ensure child safety.

Conducts home visits and reviews the child's psycho-social, medical, developmental, and education histories;

Receives on-the-job training on acceptable case work methods and techniques in order to perform a variety of case management functions

Basic computer skills. Knowledge of MS Applications and ability to learn new computer applications

Education & Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted

Performs increasingly more responsible work as the employee gains experience and independently provides basic case work services

Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, managers, families and other professionals

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Guidance and Counseling, or a related field

Leadership opportunities on site-based Center Management Teams

State of Florida Child Welfare Certification (CWCM) preferred, but not required

Must be willing to obtain CWCM certification within 1 year of employment required
