Familiar with keyboard and CRT use.

Proficient in venipuncture and capillary techniques.

In lieu of certification, must have completed 1 semester of education in an accredited ADN or BSN program.

Required: High School Diploma, GED or any higher level education degree if hired on or after June 6, 2022

Works to assist staff in understanding and carrying out administrative and management directives.

Assists clinic manager in the development of clinic guidelines and policy and procedures.

Serves as liaison for patients, staff and other departments regarding patient care issues or complaints.

Actively participates in nursing care of patients and completes RN2 clinical competencies.

Responsible for the day to day supervision of clinic staff, and overall clinic through-put.

Informs the nurse of requests or needs for health counseling and health education

Previous experience in health care or related field

Typing/computer skills and update skills as required

Assists the registered nurse in maintaining an efficient, safe, and healthy clinic environment

Provides basic first aid and emergency care according to district policy and department guidelines and procedures

Administer prescribed medications and performs special procedures for students following appropriate instruction and monitoring treatments by the nurse

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Current CPR certification for basic life support provider through the American Heart Association.

The analytical skills necessary to assess a patient’s condition and utilize the nursing process and professional judgment in providing comprehensive care.

The interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, families, medical personnel, and other members of the health care team.

The critical thinking skills and technical competencies related to specialty area of practice.

Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.

The ability to perform effectively and efficiently under the pressure of stressful emergency situations or other difficult situations.

Current Nursing Assistant Certification required.

One year experience in an acute care facility with geriatric experience preferred.

Current BLS required (within 30 days of employment).

CPI training required (within 90 days of employment).

Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language.
