Bioinformatics Scientist / Computational Biology

Knowledge of plant biology, agriculture, or remote sensing a huge plus

3+ years of experience in bioinformatics analysis of large-scale datasets

Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages

Experience with data visualization tools such as D3.js or ggplot2

Knowledge of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, or metabolomics data analysis techniques

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

2 years of hands-on experience turning FASTQ files into counts tables using standard tools (e.g. STAR, kallisto, Seurat, scVI)

2 years of experience programming in Python

6 months of hands-on experience developing models for atypical counts data

6 months of experience building JavaScript applications to interact with analytical results

Strong experience in analyzing next-generation sequencing data, RNAseq, single-cell sequencing data, network analysis and/or statistical genetics.

Strong programming skills using R, Python, or C++.

6 months of hands-on experience building and maintaining annotated imaging dataset(s)

1 year of hands-on experience building & modifying PyTorch vision models

2 years of experience programming in Python

6 months of experience building JavaScript applications to interact with analytical results

Strong coding skills in Python and MATLAB, or R

Experience with developing algorithms and deploying software in machine learning techniques

Manage and analyze high-throughput research data such as NGS and high-content imaging data.

PhD in Bioinformatics or related discipline, or Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience.

Experience with analysis of high-content imaging and flow cytometry data.

Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust to technical and non-technical audiences.

Work with other research scientists to develop algorithms to analyze complex data sets.

Analyze sequencing data for detection of structural variants, such as genomic rearrangements or RNA splicing.

Strong communication skills and analytical abilities; follows best practices for reproducible research and code version control

Develop/oversee clinico-genomic data analysis plans and manage relationships with clinical assay labs, genomic data vendors and academic research institutes

Experience using public data/annotations such as AACR GENIE, ClinVar, Exome Variant Server, 1000 Genomes, OncoKB, TCGA and COSMIC

Conduct multi-omic data analysis (RNA-seq, DNA-seq, cell-free, single-cell, proteomic, etc.) and integrate with other preclinical, clinical and real-world data sets

Keep well annotated analytical notebooks and code with appropriate version control

Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory guidance for analysis and reporting of clinical biomarker data is desired
