Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Master’s degree in mental health discipline plus two (2) years post master’s experience in mental health field, or a Doctorate Degree.

Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy as clinically indicated to assigned clients including children and adolescents (5 – 18 years).

Advocates for appropriate resources for clients and families based on assessed needs in accordance with professionally accepted standards.

Attend to professional self-development by remaining current in knowledge of trends and development in mental health, addictions or co-occurring disorders.

Two (2) years post-Master’s experience in the mental health field including delivering psycho-therapeutic services to the identified population, or Doctorate Degree.

Actively participates in evaluation of program by collecting data, information and formulating results, as observed by supervisor.

Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of program services.

Provides assigned lead functions for the department.

Master’s Degree in mental health discipline.

Contributes to the success of the UTMB Correctional Managed Care operation.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist (LFMT).

Completes mental status evaluations and risk assessments on referred patients.

Master’s degree from accredited school of Social Work or Master’s degree in related behavioral health field required.

Current Maryland licensure at an advanced licensure level (e.g. LCSW-C, LCPC and/or Board Certified Psychologist) required.
