Overview An Autopsy Technician is a medical professional who performs autopsies and other related tasks in order to determine the cause of death. Autopsy Technicians work in medical facilities, such as hospitals, medical examiner’s offices, and morgues. They are responsible for collecting and preserving evidence, performing autopsies, and preparing reports of their findings. Detailed Job Description Autopsy Technicians are responsible for performing autopsies and other related tasks in order to determine the cause of death. They must be able to accurately collect and preserve evidence, as well as prepare reports of their findings. Autopsy Technicians must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must also be able to communicate effectively with other medical professionals, such as pathologists and coroners. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
