QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT FOR AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC I:

· One year of varied automotive and equipment repair and maintenance experience.

· Skillfully and safely operate power equipment such as: power drills and screwdrivers,

Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or

This position requires possession of a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic certification.

Assist to install or service elevators or lifts, using required (self-supplied) hand tools

Moving and raising components using hoists, dollies or other provided equipment

Performs vehicle and equipment operation checks in order to determine safety deficiencies or service requirements of all unit vehicles and equipment.

Three (3) years of experience in basic automotive maintenance and repair or the equivalent experience.

Knowledge of small engine repair golf carts, mules, grounds equipment.

Basic computer skills, including but not limited to MS Outlook, Work and Excel.

Performs diagnostic procedures using a computer analyzer to detect motor trouble and analyze motor performance on all equipment.

Minimum of three years of experience within Automotive Service Industry required

Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Superior verbal/written skills and communications skills

Experience in customer service, insurance claims, or call/claims center environment

Handles claims related calls per work schedule performing within defined metrics

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience

The ideal Plaza Tire Service mechanic will have these qualifications:

Missouri vehicle inspection license preferred

Experienced Mechanics may earn up to $55 per hour plus additional compensation and incentives (Depending on Experience)

Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and all manner of automotive repairs and maintenance, that you are qualified to perform

Complete thorough automotive vehicle inspections on every vehicle you service and perform any repairs and maintenance

Test drive guest vehicles and use our shop truck in a safe manner to pick up inventory as needed

Collaborate with teammates and provide leadership to General Service Technicians

High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background

Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment under the direction of trained mechanics and/or Shop Management

Interpret work orders and assist with minor repairs under the guidance of experienced mechanics
